I used to approach freelancing as a 9 to 5 job, where I would just work standard business hours. I wouldn't check emails on the weekend or after 5. Over the years, I've become more fluid. I will often start working later, or do other things in the afternoon, or take days off for hiking or trips. At the same time, I will work in the evenings or weekends. So I just follow my instincts, rather than a set schedule, and switch off they needed, not according to a holiday schedule.

Nice idea to return on the Friday but only to get the lay of the land and plan for full return!
