• Current Affairs accepting pitches for new articles on animal welfare/factory farming and the environment, so please consider pitching if you’d be interested in writing on these topics (or on any other topic, of course). Pays $200-$300.

• SFGate, which extensively covers San Francisco, is looking for pitches. Tons of information in the attached thread with really specific guidelines. Rates $200-$400+.

• Maybelle at i news has a variety of pitch calls out today for UK writers. Maybelle regularly posts pitch calls that get taken up quickly so I would suggest keeping an eye on their account during mornings. Please get in touch if you have details on pay for this publication, believe it is in the £100-£150 range.

• Brandon edits the Space and Physics sections of LiveScience.com. “I'm always looking for fascinating stories about our planet, our universe, and (just covering my bases) anything that lies beyond. Scientists and science writers, feel free to pitch me anytime (email in bio).” Pay was $200 for 500 words in the past.

• Point.me is always looking for freelance points writers and stories of people doing amazing things with their points (e.g. spending little money on epic trips, turning big expenses into free travel).
