Calls to Pitch
Abby Sun, Editor at Documentary Magazine: “Wondering how to contribute to the Documentary magazine? Well, we now have publicly available pitch guidelines, a published rates table, and an FAQ. We also have some thoughts about what "documentary" means for the publication.” Rates range from $100 to $750.
The Revelator, a news and ideas initiative of the Center for Biological Diversity, provides editorially independent reporting, analysis and stories at the intersection of politics, conservation, art, culture, endangered species, climate change, economics and the future of wild species, wild places and the planet. They’re open to pitches. Pay is $300-500.
Ryan at the New York Times is in need of an experienced climate journalist for a long-term reporting project. Worth a look if interested. Not sure on pay or contract so would need to be discussed.
Fiona is looking to commission some moving stories for Business Insider! If you moved from the US to Ireland or Ireland to the US and are looking for freelancing opportunities, DM them. Rates likely to start at $220.
